Sarasota Springfest will be hosting its sixth year in 2012. It has evolved to an outstanding wholesome community event; with a business expo, family fun 5K & 12K races and an 'all ages' post-race family festival.

Created to bring the different facets of the community together, Springfest enhances communication lines in Sarasota by bringing together state and county departments; non-profit organizations; the business community; and residents in a day of fun, learning and relaxed neighborhood enjoyment.

The collaboration with donors and sponsors leverages the Springfest resources providing both value for the event's participants and support for children's programs. In 2012, the Youth programs of the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office will again be the charity partner.

Springfest looks to focus its impact by inspiring: participation, giving, learning, and joy in living.
